Bio
Research in the Sauer lab focuses on identifying and quantifying the key regulation mechanisms that control cellular metabolism in microbes and metabolic interactions in microbial communities. The lab combines computational modeling with quantitative experimentation, in particular mass spectrometry-based methods for 13C-flux analysis and high-throughput metabolomics.
