Bio

I am currently a postdoc at UCSD, working jointly in the labs of Terry Hwa and Sergey Kryazhimskiy. My work focuses on understanding how physiological variation within bacterial species constrains and directs their evolution. Prior to coming to UCSD, I completed my PhD at UCLA under Dr. Nandita Garud, where I primarily studied horizontal gene transfer and adaptive evolution among human gut bacteria.
