Bio
I earned my Ph.D. in Oceanography and Astrobiology, and my research has focused on microbial evolution, ecology, and physiology in marine environments. I use a combination of computational genomics approaches and laboratory experimentation to explore bacterial metabolic regulation and physiology, and I am primarily working on understanding the role of bacteria in biogeochemical carbon cycling in the surface ocean.
